How to decode gematria

gematria is an ancient method of numerology used by Jews and Christians to interpret hidden meanings behind words and phrases. It is believed to have first been developed in Babylonian times and was used to interpret the Hebrew alphabet. The practice of Gematria involves assigning numerical values to each letter of the Hebrew alphabet and then interpreting the numerical value of a word or phrase as a hidden code.

The general process of decoding with Gematria revolves around finding a gematria value that matches up with another value either using their assigned numbers or subtracting one set of values from another. The result will then typically reveal some secret meaning behind the words or phrase. For example, in Judaic Gematria, 'Shema Yisrael' (Hear O Israel) has a gematria value of 515; when subtracted by the gematria value for 'Shalom' (Peace) which is also 515, one gets zero as the result which symbolizes unity between God, Israel, and all people.

To decode with Gematria, it's important to learn about popular Jewish and Christian sets such as Biblical Hebrew ('Ivrit), Hebrew Numerology (Kabbalah), Greek, Latin and English alphabets all have distinctive numerical sets to be studied. Each system has different values assigned for each letter. Additioanally, some systems don't assign any numerical value at all while others assign double values to certain letters depending on context or location within words or phrases. Besides unique characteristics various sets may have one may need several resources to help process information; so familiarity with the language being studied along with resources for translating words into gematria are especially important for decoding.

Once everything is taken into account it's time to get started! The steps below outline typical decoding processes:

1) Convert any given word into its corresponding alphabet set - Greek, Latin or Hebrew etc - paying close attention to vowels, punctuation marks and accents if any apply

2) Assign each letter its corresponding number based on its alphabet set

3) Solve for the numbers indicating how many letters are in each word 4) Compare any given two word's gematrica values by either adding them together (or subtracting one from the other in some cases) 5) Interprete what mathematical result you see being revealed 6) Notice patterns thematically throughout results which will be emerging as evidence towards unlocking deeper meanings

7) Consider alternative interpretations if needed

8 ) Formulate your own conclusions concerning what you have uncovered

9) Compose your finding into some type of final product either written out or presented visually!
